I am attempting to boot up my first cpu build. When I get to the BIOS, it asks where I'd like to boot from, and I click on the external optical drive. Then the screen immediately goes to black with this text "Reboot and Select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" . This seems like a very simple solution, but I can't figure it out. I've got Windows 8 on the disc in the external optical drive. It seems like the optical drive isn't recognizing that there is something in the drive.
Any thoughts? I tried to be as descriptive as possible, but please let me know if you need any more info. Thanks
