I'm conflicted as to what to buy next for my PC. I do heavy gaming and I don't truly know what to upgrade next. I got a bit of money free this month so I wanted to upgrade my PC. Any suggestions?

Budget $550

Current Build
MOBO: Gateway DX4860
CPU: i5 2320 @3.0Ghz
GPU: Radeom 6770
Memory: 8GB
PSU: 550watts

I can't fit 2 Graphics cards, max memory is 16gb, H67 Express Chipset/LGA 115/Socket H2

Well, you could get this triple channel ram set: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231405
(apartently that Mobo is a triple channel deal, which is kind of odd considering it has 4 ram slots.
that would help probably, but you dont have alot of room to work with, your CPU is already really good: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html
And upgrading it might not make give much of a performance increase.
Although, what OS you have installed is important. (whether it's a 32x or 64x will affect the memory)

get a better video card, the 6770 is a pretty weak one. Something in the range of gtx 770, though if the power supply in your system is the stock one, youll need to upgrade it too for a good card, most likely.

James and Jeremy, thank you for your answers. I was going to get a new cpu but now I know better. I've decided to buy the 770 and ram. Hopefully I have enough for a decent PSU.

Would a 600watt be enough?
