hi, im new to tom'shardware, and im looking for some help upgrading my gpu.

here is the address for the spec page for my pc, hopefully to save some time and typing http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAG...

Im looking to spend in the neighborhood of 2-250 (the high end would ideally include the cost of a new power supply, if necessary) but would obviously like to keep costs as low as possible. Im looking to be able to play some of the newer indie games on steam (rust, 7 days to die, etc.). thanks in advance for anything the community can offer.

thanks, one small concern though, the pci compatibility. mine is 1.1 and the asus card is a 3.0. i was under the impression that it isnt backwards compatible after 2.0.

1.1 through 3.0, no compatibility issues.
