question about Dell sales taxes

I got two Dell business PCs last year, and was charged sales tax on both (I live in northern Colorado).

I know the amount of the tax, but not the breakdown between state, county, and city, and need to figure this out for a business use tax return.

I know the tax rates, but not how Dell computed the tax, and the figures don't quite add up.

Does anyone know if this information is available anywhere? Thus far I haven't been able to get it from Dell.

I would check the website for Colorado Sales Tax. There should be information there about what exactly is taxable and nontaxable for each jurisdiction.

Sales tax, besides being very regressive, many times makes even less sense than income tax. A state may charge sales tax, but a city may not charge sales tax on the same item, especially services.
