Hi

I noticed a few days ago that my computer was running hot so I opened up the case. I found that my heatsink was blocked by lots of dust. I took it off and blew it with an air compressor. I replaced it and didn't think about the the thermal compound. My question is, do I need to reapply new paste?

Thanks for your input in advance

I would just in case because you never know what could have gone onto the cpu or the cpu cooler bottom where thermal paste is pre applied. Anything could have gone there so I would recommend putting it on. Plus, you are suppose to put another layer of thermal paste every 3 months
