XP October 2013 USB freeze issue, I can't log into Windows after Safe mode, won't allow me to select user name. Is there a fix?

It sounds as tho the easy answer would be buy a ps2 (old style) mouse and keyboard, then you can get into bios and check legacy usb settings.

Or matbe buy 2 usb to ps2 adaptors. . .
