I recently bought a pentium D processor 945 4M Cache, 3.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB. I am replacing it with my intel 2 core duo processor E4400 2M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB. Both same LGA775 sockets, and after installing the cpu, i boot it back up and it brings up a error message "ERROR" System Fan Has Failed! I then pressed F2 as it said so to continue, and i attempted to startup windows, but it crashed with a Blue Screen Of Death with it saying BIOS NEEDS TO UPDATE.

I've tryed going to hp's website to update with my flash drive, but i dont know how.

I ask if u guys can help me find the right BIOS version for the pentium D 945.

NOTE:My BIOS version is 5.17, and my computer is a hp pavillion a6120n

If you guys just find the BIOS version, and cant find the download please just post, and if so please POST, ty :)

as you probobly notice im not really good at writing this, im new into asking questions to the community, if you have questions about my issue pleasev write back , ty
