I need help. I have an Acer Aspire One d257 and I need to know whether this memory is compatible with my pc or not? I really don't understand much about these things. I thought the memory was compatible and went on and bought it. However, after putting the new memory in, my pc wouldn't start. Thank you for your help!

It does have a higher frequency and voltage than the original ram but you may be able to get into BIOS and change the frequency/voltage settings to 1066MHz and 1.35V. To get into BIOS, start tapping "delete" key immediately after starting the netbook - hopefully that'll get you a BIOS screen (it may not though). If you are unable to get into BIOS (because the netbook won't start), you'll need to exchange the ram for 1066MHz ram at 1.35V. Kingston does not list a current kit as being compatible but Crucial lists this kit (which should be available) http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=6F33D36EA5CA7304 as being compatible
