Basically I would like everyone's opinion on the best PWM fans for a push pull setup on a 120mm radiator. The fans will be connected via a splitter to the CPU fan header and run on my custom CPU heat index fan control profile.

I have only a single fan in pull right now (radiator is on the rear exhaust fan slot). This is the stock fan for a Coolermaster Hyper T4 and it is LOUD when it gets above 75%. It does move decent air though.

I want everyone's input as to the best performance and most quiet fans for this push-pull setup. I DO NOT want to pay $25 a fan. I know there are some gems out there like the Silverstone ap-121.

Please let me know what you think.

TL;DR: What fans are the best balance of noise/performance/price for push pull on a 120mm radiator?

EDIT: I was about go to buy the Cougars but basically everyone said they whine at anything except full speed.

Sanyo Denki (sp?) and Delta are highly regarded, but are expensive.

Koolance makes some very high CFM/Static pressure fans with a decent noise rating and price. They're the best I've seen on paper, but I havent tried them yet. Some models draw a ton of power though (~2amps), definitely wouldn't put those on the mobo. I'd try one of these 2:

Silverstones high performance 120mm fan has impressive numbers, as does their 140mm fan with 120mm mounts (http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?scase=c_140&p...)

I am not looking for 100cfm+ fans. One of my requirements is quiet which none of those fans are. They all move an impressive amount of air but they are LOUD. MANY times louder than the fan I am trying to replace for being too loud.

Oh. To me, 30dba is not loud, especially using PWM or a fan controller, but to each their own.

30dba is fine. But none of the fans you linked are PWM fans. those are all 3-pin, and the silverstone will not fit in my application even though it has 120mm mounts.

I am talking about more mainstream fans like Corsair sp120, Rosewill Hyperborea, etc.
