Dear people!

I know that my CPU is probably bottlenecking becouse its old and crappy.
Anyway i am upgrading to an i5 - 3570k, But for now im a bit confused.

Is a bottleneck a full gpu lockdown? Or is ur gpu able to still reach 95% usage?
With that said i mean my Cpu is near 100% usage and my Gpu is near the 70% often tough it still climbs up to the mid 90% while playing bf4

Cpu runs stock (Not overclocking becouse im upgading anyway)

I'm playing BF4 maxed out and the pfs is pretty low (45-60FPS @ 1080P)

Kind regards,

PS. Im not going haswell becouse i have a z77 Mpower laying around :)

Not realy. Im confused by the fact that my cpu bottlenecks my gpu but still my gpu reaches 100% load often.

i know that the 3570k is alot faster and thats not the issue the issue is why my gpu reaches 100%
while my cpu is pulling him back and thats what i mentioned with lockdown

What is your current motherboard? An upgrade to an FX 8320 would be a more economical solution if your board has the necessary support for it. 45-60fps isn't low for maxed out either. FYI, the human eye cannot see much past 60fps really anyway. I would suspect your minimum framerate is suffering due to your CPU though when certain events in the game take place. This would hold especially true if you are in a 32 or 64 man campaign.

Just saw your PS note. 3570k is a good choice for that board. Keep in mind you might need a new copy of windows as well.

Keep in mind, your cpu is also running other programs in the background as well like antivirus and such. Your cpu is still pretty decent, considering its age, but really a CPU upgrade I think is warranted in this case. BF4 has shown to be fairly CPU intensive.
