My computer has been running flawlessly when I got it 5 months ago but today I got a Video_TDR_Failure. My computer crashed and upon restart my graphics card is now not detected at all! I have took the laptop apart, I have wiped it clean by setting it back to factory settings and reinstalling windows 8 several times, and nothing I do is getting the graphics card back online. It's not in device manager, trying to install drivers for it just gives me an error from Nvidia saying no hardware is detected. Can anyone please help me?!

MSI GT60-0ND
I7-3630QM
GTX 675m / 2gb
DDRIII 16gb

if you bought it 5 months ago, it should still have the 1 year manufacturer warranty on it. Also msi is very good for product replacement. call your seller, or msi support, and tell them the exact problem (DO NOT SAY YOU TOOK APART THE LAPTOP). actually in taking apart the laptop, you have likely voided the warranty...(but maybe not)

Yeah, but having no sign of a gpu installed anywhere is a hardware failure. so take it to your local tech store if you do not feel comfortable doing a replacement yourself, or are uncertain as to whether or not it really is a hardware failure. failure of can occur from static caused by dust, or various other things. even if you touched the laptop while you were statically charged you may have fried the gpu. It's a scary reality, but if you can't even find it in the device manager, it is likely that the gpu is no longer functional.

It stopped working before I took apart or touched anything. I only did this to see if the card was loss some how. This did not fix it. I may just take it in to see what the hell is going on with it. Sigh...
