Noise level experience?

Hey everyone, I could use some advice.

I'm working on my first build using a Corsair 650D case, i5-3570K CPU, a Dark Rock 2 CPU cooler. and plan to use an EVGA GTX 780 graphics card. I do not plan to OC (at this time).

I have developed the opinion (after I purchased the case) that the Corsair 650D doesn't have the greatest cooling attributes, so I plan on venting warm GPU air out the back of the case rather than to the interior and was curious about how loud the 780 reference type card would be?

Thanks

Reference cards are always loud lol

And if you are not overclocking, temps wouldn't be a real problem. Get a good cooler on the 780, like the MSI TF or ASUS DirectCU II, and you'll be fine. I have the 760 HAWK from MSI, and it Boots clocks itself over 1250MHZ, and it never even ramps the fan up ever. Throw a couple of Noctuas in there, and you'll be set! The 200mm fan in the front will pull in a lot of air, and the two fans in the top back will exhaust the warm air quick.

Not the best air cooler, but definitely sufficient for what you'll be using it for.

Thanks for your prompt reply 'HiTechObsessed'.

It's nice to hear that there would be enough ventilation in my Corsair 650D Case for my planned build - that was one small concern put to rest. I know that ones idea of 'noise' levels can be very subjective but would you consider the noise coming from a reference type card to be extremely annoying? I have a slight hearing loss so a little noise (not a jet engine spooling-up level LOL) wouldn't bother me much. If you consider that it is still too loud then the other option I am considering is the EVGA GTX 780 with the ACX cooler, however, considering that I may eventually OC everything, do you think that the additional heat produced by OCing would still be no problem considering the heat would be vented directly at my CPU cooler?

Forgive me if I sound like some sort of "worry-wart" but I've invested a couple thousand dollars into components (over the last year) for this build and I just want everything to work together without having to change-out items that didn't sync.

I just know that the reference cooler is louder and hotter. See below, the ACX cooler is VERY, and I mean 15 degrees very, much cooler than the stock reference fan, while being quieter. This means you could push the card further, making GPU Boost OC by itself longer and higher, as well as *theoretically* giving you more OC headroom.
