Hi, i drop my laptop yesterday. When i try to switch it on, hoping that is ok. But, something came out. It was some error checking. They couldn't fix it so i click ignore. I thought it will get back to normal. But it didn't. I stay up all night trying to switch on my laptop safe mode/normal version. Safe mode: i'm able to login. But once it login, my screen freezes. But my cursor will always be in the blue circle loading. As for normal mode: the login page is very laggy, sometime it even freezes on the please wait page. If im lucky enough to get thru the login page. It will be laggy and sometimes theres no taskbar. I can't even click on anything. When the task bar appear I tried to click on the start button to restart. It won't appear. The cursor doesn't show any loading or anything. Why is that? Sometime, white screen or even black screen.

Hope you understand what i'm trying to say. I really need help. Cause i don't think i can afford sending this to the shop. As it maybe expensive. My laptop doesn't have the cd slot. & my battery is built in. Hope anyone can help me. Please thank you.

I'm using lenovo u410 ultra book.

The shock from it being dropped may have damaged the hard drive as that's the most fragile internal component of a computer or laptop.

Since your laptop has no CD drive (and I assume no floppy drive either) it's not possible to test the drive as that requires booting from CD of floppy disk.

If your laptop does have a floppy drive, you can test it with SeaTools for DOS (any brand of hard drive). The floppy disk creator for that is here:
