I need some advice. I have a new mobo, cpu, ram and PSU. When everything is all connected and good to go, I get no display. Everything is compatible. I have resolved the problem down to he mobo/cpu but I dont know which it would most likely be.

Mobo: F2A85V PRO

CPU:AMD 760K Richland 3.8GHz Socket FM2

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277
Support page for Mobo: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/F2A85V_PRO/#support

Bare system outside of case and the same problem. All fans turn on correctly. I've tried putting ram in different spots and it went to no avail. all of the cables were put in correctly.

I think it would either be the BIOS or the CPU. Since the board is brand new, I assume it has up to date BIOS, therefore I think its the CPU. Opinions?

Hi, I can't see a graphics card in the list, so I guess you're not using one. Well, you have to as with the 760k you can't use the onboard graphics (only with APUs).
Regarding the BIOS version, 6104 or later required - check a thin bar code sticker on the motherboard. The last 4 digits on that sticker stand for the board's BIOS version.

As i know 760 K is athlon and not an APU so there no internal GPU in it, u will need separate/discrete graphic card ....
(plugin moitor into mobo will not get u any view)

Also yes, the 760 needs newer rev. of bios so it will worth to check....

Thanks for your responds.

The last number is 5109 and I need 6104.
Okay, well I don't have an extra FM2 socket CPU that I can use to flash the BIOS. Should I return it and request a higher BIOS version or is there an alternate way to update the BIOS?

Usually the computer shop that u buy from will helps u for free..

it could be a problems if u buy if larger dept store (or such...) u need to return it and ask..

anyways try ask the help from the seller first...

or u can go to pc repair shop they usually have stock of proc for testing but they will ask a payment for the service..
