The computer will be mainly used for games and/or video editing. I also multitask. A lot lol. Thanks in advance!

I swapped out the expensive but pointless i7, the motherboard already has wired and wireless networking. Much better gfx card. Also added cpu cooler and faster memory for overclock.

Why is I7 pointless? Too little speed for the extra money? Videos rendered in SD took 2 min and 10 min for HD with an i7. From what I read, they're significantly faster when it comes to that. I'm okay with the extra cost if an i5 is going to increase that time as I need to do multiple renders to review it before publishing. I haven't used an i5, so I have no idea what the real difference is.

I facepalmed at forgetting the CPU cooler.

Is the $500 graphics card necessary? I haven't played too many games on PC, mainly for lack of supporting hardware, but it seems like so many graphics cards are either DOA, have driver issues, or some other problem that people end up getting stuck eating the cost for them. I haven't done any overclocking before either.

Thanks again for your help.
