I know that i7 is a quad core, and i5 is a dual, but does it make much of a difference, between 1 and 2 gig graphics dedicated.
Is graphics dedicated when a certain amount of gigs is only dedicated to be used on the graphics card??

Regards Jovan.

Solution
It depends whether the application really makes a good use of more than two (real) CPU cores. i7 will do better with many threads. Otherwise, they're probably about the same.
the i5 are four core cpu it the i3 that are two cores. the i7 have 4 real cores and 4 hyper-threading cores. or vertuial cores.
your always better off if your gaming to buy a fast gpu with a lot of ram. more ram the better it is for the gpu to frame buffer in the game.

I'm refering to laptop i5 n i7, they are 2 and 4 core. but does the graphics dedication make a difference??

if were taking about nvidia or amd gpu that will be on the laptop. the more memory the gpu has if it the same speed on both laptops. the one with twice the video ram will run better in games and where video editing or gpu is used. if the one gig video card is a higher end card to start with it will run faster then the lower end laptop.

both have 4 gig ram,
the i7 is 2.2Ghz with AMD Radeon HD 7670M 1 gig dedicated to graphics

the i5 is 2.6Ghz also with AMD Radeon HD 7670M though 2 gig dedicated to graphics.

would the i7 be a better choice even though it has 1 gig less dedicated to graphics??
