I will be upgrading my pc in a few months and I have a budget of ~$300 (I am willing to go up a bit if its worth it)

Current PC:
HP Pavilion 500-002a
CPU: i5-3470 (3.20 GHz)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8570
2TB HDD
8GB DDR3 Ram
Current Power is 300w

If you want to be strictly in your budget, the following upgrade will suit you :
GPU - Powercolor R9 270x @ $204 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
PSU - Corsair TX 650 @$89 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

However, If you wish to go a little up, you can get a better GPU :
EVGA Superclocked GTX 760 @$249 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
