Hi guys i just recently got my new gaming pc my specs are

i5-3570k
vapor-x 280x
8gb ram
Asus P8Z77-V LX

So the problem im having is that the performance in bf4 isn't the same as the first day i built it. The first time i played on this pc i had around 60-80 fps(mostly 70 fps) on the same settings after a week of playing the frames dropped to 45-60 so now the highest frames i would get is around 63 or 64. It's been 3 days since the fps dropped. I don't know if its a defective or bad chip but the fps right now seems to be stable after the drop hasn't got lower.

I'm playing on a resolution of 1360x768 and yes i'm using a 19" HD tv haha kind of broke after this pc so yeah. Not only that this has been bothering me for hours but its also making me worry that by the time i upgrade my HD tv to and 24" monitor with a 1920x1080 resolution my gpu won't be able to handle it.

I tried to overclock it once but then my screen was flickering because apparently this card is pretty hard to overclock so yeah couldn't find the sweet spot so i returned to factory settings. And every other games i play this card pretty much will max it out i mainly play dota 2 but then when i start playing games that are gpu intensive the frames just isn't the same as the first day.

It would be great if you guys can spend a few minutes and try to help out and help with my
concerns. Also please tell me if this is normal or not. Thank you ! :)

It Isn't the card if it is only that game, It'll be the driver support for the game which you have experienced just recently. I can't really suggest an alternative for you but only check Nvidia's drivers for BF4 and the current driver for your card, which you probably already have. Sometimes AMD do have bad drivers for some games and this may be contributing to your 15-20fps average loss on BF4.
Firstly, The R9 280x can handle most games at max on 1080p, don't need to worry about that card not being able to handle games. Using a T.V for a PC isn't ideal as it strains your eyes and T.V's have their own in-built graphics cards to power their screen. 70 fps on bf4 on high is quite high anyways. But the explanation for the fps drop may lie here. Is this the only game that is having the fps drop, or is it all games? That can rule out if it is a graphics card issue or a game/driver issue. Have any updates for the driver of the card been updated since this problem started?
