im going to buy a new AMD processor but i heard my motherboard can handle up to certain processors wattage...
can you please tell me what is the maximum processor wattage it can handle ? and recommend me a good AMD processor for it..
im thinking about AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz Quad Core 12MB Processor AM3+
my specs:
Gigabyte GA-MA78LMT-S2
AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB
4 GB Rams

There are several different Revision numbers of that motherboard. All revisions do not support AM3+ FX processors.
You can check your Rev. #s CPU Support List on Gigabytes download page. Gigabyte often includes Unsupported Processors on the List by using the Terminology -> N/A, where the supported BIOS Revision is listed. N/A meaning NOT AVAILABLE. This means there is no BIOS available that supports that processor.
