Hello, Tom's Hardware forums, I am creating this thread due to the fact that I have googled this issue under several ways of phrasing it and found no solution as of yet that actually works.

The issue occurred randomly, shortly after uninstalling ReClock, though I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it, it's just the only thing I can think of that may have done something to my system, I tried to re-install the program but it didn't fix the issue.

The issue in more detail is that after my PC has been on for around 6 hours or more, audio will start to "cut out" and distort for a second or two at random intervals, and the only way I can temporarily fix it is by rebooting the system. Does anyone know of any solution that wouldn't resort in me needing to reinstall windows?
