My pc is getting really hot and I was wondering if it was, because of bad cable management in-between the back of my mobo and my side panel.

More about : hot

How hot exactly (download HWMonitor from http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html)?

What components do you have in your computer? Some components run hotter than others. For instance, when running full whack, my graphics cards will get to 80 degrees C; with two of them pumping out ~80 degree heat, the computer and the room start to get fairly hot!

As I read your question, you are running cables behind the MB. that is a very tight space towards that panel.

When I upgraded my PC last, I knew It would run hotter than before (OC, graphics card with its own cooling) so I made sure I got a case with extra cooling fans, and no wires running in tight spaces within the case blocking airflow. besides CPUID (houldendub post), you can download various monitoring gadgets to see which is running hot from http:addgadgets.com and which is running hot.

And just to state the obvious I assume your case vents are not blocked on the outside?

Without that information, or a look inside your case I can not be more specific on why.
