I am wondering if I can upgrade to an i7-3770.
Motherboard: H-Joshua-H61-uATX
If the i7-3770 is compatible to my mobo, would I need to update BIOS?

Would an i7-2600k or 2700k work? I know that my motherboard doesnt support the OC feature so I'm asking if my mobo would still run the cpu without overclocking it.

I have an i5-3570 right now. I've been wanting to upgrade to an i7 for quite some time now.

Well I'm thinking about buying my cpu at fry's electronics and I was unable to find an i7-2600 or 2700 without the k on their website.

What do you do that makes you think you need an i7? Your CPU is pretty damn good, to be honest. Actually, a 2600 would be a downgrade unless programs you use can take full advantage of hyperthreading.

Well, I plan on putting the i5 into a different computer that currently has an i3-3240/gtx650ti.

Unfortunately, this computer isn't mine, it's my friends. I told him that I would install my i5 into his computer since I have no use for it anyways.

The 3770 is now supported on the Joshua H61 motherboard. You just need the latest bios. Version 8.17 or higher. I am running one right now.
