Hello to everyone,

I used an Verbatim external hard drive with an universal power adapter. What happened is that I accidentally unversed the plus and the minus of the power that goes in the USB disk drive and left it like that for about one minute until smoke started to come out. After pulling out the drive, the USB case was burnt in one spot so I connected it directly to a PC and I think the disk continued to burn from inside because it smelled funny too.

Now my question is if I send the drive into a workshop, will they be able to read the files ?

Thank you very much
