Alright guys i think you guys have seen my previous thread on which card to buy....
I have decided to buy the 6670

My specs:
intel core 2 duo
PSU=180
4 GB ram
motherboard number : MS-7525 (BostonL)
System model : AU801AA-ACJ CQ3150IX
System manufacturer : compaq - presario
500 GB hard disk
PCI bus 2.0 x16slot

I'am going to use the card for gaming

My questions regarding the topic:
Q1)Will the card work on my 12v 180 watt PSU if not which on can i go for?
(My budget is 2500Rs for the PSU)
Q2)will the card work on my mobo(i'm on a desktop not a laptop)
Q3)I have heard AMD cards dont work on intel cards,is it true?
Q4)as you guys can see in the link the guys he told me to buy the 6670 didnt tell me which versions,So i think you guys can are they talking about the sapphire or the HIS.

For more information on my motherboard go here==>http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=3999471&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c01701251-17%257CdocLocale%253Den_US%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

thanks for the reply.

Can you suggest me a good 430watt PSu which will run the card my budget has come down to under 1000rs
Can you answer the rest of the questions too.(please)
and what do you say about the ddr5 version will it work on my rig i'm asking bcoz my ram is ddr2 thats why
And you sure i wont end up frying my computer

Thank you,
reppin

well 1000rs is 16 usd, I dot think you will be able to find anything in that price range. this seems to be your best option and actually has good reviews yet its cheap price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817170016

besides that it will work, the gddr5 is fine with your memory they cant interfere with each other since they are all seperate.

I believe my work computer is the same as your and I have gpu in mine.

is that a regular size tower or is it the small size one

if you are asking about my computer size then you can check this site out click here

and will a 430 watt be enough to power the ddr3 one i'am going for the ddr3 because of my budget on the GPU card and will the card fit under my CPU to see my cpu just click on the link given above as "click here"

i'am putting a image of it too
Compaq-Presario-CQ3150IX.jpg

1) For that budget you should look at some local brands like zebroonics.

2) This question is confusing, what Intel card are you talking about? The CPU or the motherboard?

3) The sapphire version is better but the HIS will do as well.

4) Contact your manufacturer to see if it supports graphic cards.

as long as you have a pcie slot there will be no issues, amd cards will work fine with intel components.

the gddr5 version will be faster than the gddr3 counterpart but you are on a tight budget.

also it will git thats a mid tower case that will hold a full size gpu vs the half height cards needed for the small form factor cases

@reppin
You needn't have started a new thread -- if you continue asking related questions in the same thread we'll be glad to help you.

Don't EVER suggest Zebronics PSU's to anyone, and I mean that.
They have the worst ones on the planet -- their 800W PSU's are rebranded 400W's and they even charge the same price as corsair -- I saw the 750W corsair and zebronics were at the same price.

@reppin
DON'T cheap out on a PSU -- EVER. If you don't have INR 2500 to get a decent PSU, wait until you do. Then get the graphics card.
I have seen my odyssey psu fail after 7 days of getting it.
Go for the corsair vs350 or vs450 when you have enough money to buy those.
The vs350 will be enough for cards like the hd6670, 7750 and gtx650.
the vs450 will be required for cards like the gtx650ti, 660, hd7770.

Please don't mislead him, Indian work computers are nowhere near US standards. That's a fact. And you can't possibly have a 180W PSU in your work computer if a gpu works in there.

i'm not misleading him, most of these pre built systems have horibly small power supplies, i just went to build a new leneov for work and it had a gpu in there by default running a i7 4770 and a gpu on a 230-280w power supply with no option to change the power supply.

trust me ive taken a few computers apart in my life and every one of them as had tiny power supplies close to what he listed,

No, I definitely wouldn't run it on 180 watts.

This is about the cheapest I would buy: http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vs350-350-watt-psu/p/itmdg36x8dmx8bmr?pid=PSUDG347MVWGGKDS&otracker=from-search&srno=t_14&query=psu&ref=bd33d084-dd2a-4008-bffb-7cfbe25f10b3
Q2)will the card work on my mobo(i'm on a desktop not a laptop)
It should. It has a G31 chipset
Q3)I have heard AMD cards dont work on intel cards,is it true?
No
Q4)as you guys can see in the link the guys he told me to buy the 6670 didnt tell me which versions,So i think you guys can are they talking about the sapphire or the HIS.
To be honest it won't make a lot of difference. Just go with whatever is cheapest.
It would be better to get the GDDR5 version if possible but if not, its still a huge upgrade over the onboard

Noooooooooooooo Dont buy a Hd 6670. The card blows! I used to own it, and it cant play nothing. Not worth your money!
B.S.
It can play most games even if you need to reduce the settings. It is far far better than the onboard graphics he had.

1)sorry for bugging you guys but is there a card between the 6670 and 7750.
2)is the ddr3 version of 7750 good coz its only a 500 more than the 6670

And what is a VRAM?

Graphics RAM.
Do not go for the 7750 DDR3, see your other thread.
There is the 4770 between those 2 cards, but you can't and shouldn't get that card, it's ancient.
The 7750 is the starter card of its series. You cannot get a cheaper card that gives you more performance.(or comparable performance even).
