i recently bought the ASUS P8 Z77 LX motherboard, i put it in, turned it on, put in the CD it came with, I went into the BIOS screen, and i think i possibly downloaded the wrong thing on the CD? In the BIOS menu, i clicked: Advance, Tools, launced the ASUS Ez utility, clicked on the CD, there was about 6 files on it, i clicked on the one i thought was right. it was the 8390656, next to it i think it said the 1616 version? i clicked on it, then it said it read successfully, restarted the computer.

and now when i turn on the computer its stuck on the ASUS logo, press DEL or F2 to go into BIOS. i try pressing F2, nothing happens. i try to wait, nothing happens.

i've taken out all wires except for the screen and the power. i've removed 1 (of 2) sticks of ram .
i've removed the CSOS battery and put it back in.
i've removed the BIOS thing on the motherboard and put it back on to restart the BIOS

But still it stays frozen.

Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. This is driving me mad!

Thanks

Solution
Test again with only the necessary components (one RAM module, DVD drive, keyboard and mouse). Remove the graphics card and connect the monitor to the onboard.
If still the same, then you can either RMA the board or replace the board's BIOS chip with a new one.

whenever i boot up now, it says error reading partition. then takes me to Make Disc for DOS menu. asks me to choose either intel 32 bit RAID driver, 64 bit RAID driver, or Freedos command prompt. idk what any of this means. sorry if im being annoying and dumb

yeah all RAMS are inserted. basically, i bought a Lenovo computer last year, i replaced everything except the hard drive and dvd drive. so it never came with a windows install DVD, it was already installed. but i thought because i didnt change the hard drive i wouldnt need to reinstall windows
