Cable adapter or new PSU?

I bought a new pc but the PSU lacks ATX12V connector.
Will a PCie to ATX12V cable adapter do the trick or should I just get a new PSU?
The board is ASrock H87 pro4

I would get a new PSU. If that one is short on connectors it also will be short on power output. I would not trust it.

the PSU is OCZ-CXS500W if that makes any difference

If the PSU doesn't have the CPU power connector, it's an ancient unit that, if not overrated, will not have its outputs weighted (heavy on +12V, lighter elsewhere) for a modern PC; unfit for purpose.
Go to http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp to figure out the capacity you need. Most likely, 500W-550W will be sufficient.

Nevermind

I'm just paranoid. The PSU comes with 4+4 pins, which can be connected toghether and then they fit into to 8 pin on the board. Works fine, just posting this from the PC
