No option to boot from CD or USB at all

Hello

Im trying to reinstall windows vista on my old Asus laptop, i have the CD. However, when the startup screen appears. I have tried hitting ESC, F2, F8, F10 and delete etc.. I get into the BIOS, but all i can do is stuff like repair windows, start windows normally and such. There is no boot order or boot options at all! :(

I need to reformat the harddrive and reinstall windows vista on this PC before monday, and i'v bumped into this problem. Hopefully someone will be able to help me, im not too tech savy just doing my best ;)

That screen is not the BIOS -- that is the Boot menu. IIRC to get into the BIOS on ASUS systems you need to Press the "ALT" and "F2" keys on your keyboard as soon as you see the ASUS splash screen. Your computer will enter the BIOS from there you will need to find the Boot priority selection and change it so that the DVD drive is prior to the HDD.

You're absolutly right, thanks alot!! :)
I got another problem though, maybe you know something about it. I can hear the CD drive working, and i set the CD/DVD Drive to be the nr.1 priority when booting up. But all i get is a black screen, with a small blinking white dash in the top left corner? The disc inside is a Asus Recevery Disc i got when i bought the PC, maybe it dosn't have windows on it? I didn't get a Windows CD, so i thought it should be on there. But seeing as it dosn't boot Windows up, or ask me if i want to isntall Windows. It might not be there at all?

Edit: I got it to work on the third try somehow, got into the recovery screen. Pressed to start formating HDD with 2 partitions, a windows like screen came up and i can hear the drive running. But nothing seems to happen, no progress bar. Is there supposed to be a progress bar? Should i just let it run? I have no idea approximately how long it's going to take, i have 2 drives. C: and D:. The C: has around 210gb used and the D: has around 1gb used. If anyone have some tips or ideas, i would appreciate it :)
