windows installation error

I was reinstalling windows 7 on my system when the following error occurred :

" Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration. Installation cannot proceed."

I restarted the setup and formatted the system drive and now when I try to install inget the same error.

what do I do, help please!!

I'm not upgrading. just clean new installation.
also what's the long format option?? and I cannot format my whole drive. it's a 1TB drive of which I've made 5 partitions. I have very sensitive and critical data in the rest four drives.
Please help!!
