if I touch a cpu I should obviously clean it with isopropyl right...

but what would happen if I touch it and leave it that way, whats up with all of that...

want to know, thanks

Solution
If you touch the top of the cpu (the heatspreader) your finger oils could make your thermal paste less efficient thus give you higher temperatures. If you touch the bottom of the cpu (the contacts) your finger oils might interrupt the connection between the pins and the sockets. Best to grab a cpu at the sides.

so if I touch the cpu and apply thermal paste on top of it, the cpu will overheat more... by how much? (actualy what happened is we touched the protective film on the cpu cooler, and he tried to aling the cooler with the cpu to see how it should be fit, and he made a contaact, so cpu got some finger marks, not sure if thats sireous)... dont realy have the isopropyl here....
