Hey everyone!

I've got this problem with front panel jack. Every 2-3 seconds I get the message from Realtek HDA manager that something was plugged/unpluged. And because of that I'm not getting any audio on my laptop speakers.

Now I know that the problem has been covered already so many times, but those solutions just don't work with me. I don't have that little yellow folder or any other kind of settings button in my Audio-manager.

I have tried updating the driver to the latest possible version (I got R2.73 from Realtek's web-site) and it didn't fix the problem either.

I've got Win 7, 64bit, the computer I use is asus s56c.

Thank you very much in advance!! I'm really struggling to get this problem fixed((

Hi, thanks a lot for the reply!
Unfortunitely as I mentioned earlier I don't have any options in realtek's control panel available. The thing I can do there is turn off notifications (which doesn't solve the problem).

I do have the red speaker icon and I can open the audio manager too. But the problem is that this is what it looks like: http://puu.sh/6glvr.jpg

Or am I just looking in a wrong place?

Plug in a head phone and open up the realtek audio manager. See if there are any other audio jacks appearing on the right side of the program. If not, then click on that black audio jack icon and it should give you the options to disable front panel audio detection.

So I tried plugging in headphones and nothing changed- the black audio jack is the only icon I've got. I can't click it either.

Thanks once again!

P.S. I'm definitely running it as administrator..so it can't be access problem... if that somehow helps.
