Whats the best CPU i can get for my board?

My CPU is always running on 100% usage according my keyboard lcd, so i guess its time for a CPU upgrade. My motherboard is an ASUS M3A76-CM and right now my CPU is a AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor 3.00 GHz.

How much will an upgrade cost me? I live in Canada, is this upgrade worth something or the board is already too old and i need a new one too?

Sure, ill do it.. Still, i think my CPU is pretty weak compared with all the rest i got, any advices?
