When i turn on my pc and use the driver installer, it wont recognize the graphics card. I've looked all over the card to make sure the power supplies were in, though there was only 1 port. i also have taken the card out and put it back in, ive also uninstall the drivers from my previous card (EVGA GT 640). i have also checked that my cpu is capable of the card (AMD Phenom(tm) II x6 1055T Processor 2.80 GHz). i hope you can help! :)

It's possible the card is dead. Can you put the card in another machine? Not sure if this matters but sometimes in the bios there's a selection for intergrated graphics or pci. Maybe try a different power plug then the one you are using.

Just because the fan turns on doesn't mean the card itself is dead as in not working. Powering a fan takes nothing at all in power.
