Hi,
I was going to upgrade my dell, but I finally decided, to use the equipment for a new PC.

The PC will be use for computer graphics development and for development in general. It will not be used for gaming, but a gaming computer is a nice target. The only part that I will not be doing is overclocking the computer, so I don't need a board that overclocks. if it has it, and the price is not a big difference, it is fine.

Budget: preferably less 1,000...maybe less...

For the motherboard:

What I do need, is the ability to have at least two graphics card in the board. If it has thunderbolt, even better. Some brands that I know are asus, gygabite, asrock and evga. I'm open to suggestions.
Ideally, the board is designed for "dual gpu".

The memory:

good ram that goes along with the board. I was hoping for 32GB but I think it may bring the price up too much.

The case:

Preferably, a mid-tower that I can fit a few drives (maybe 1 or 2 solid states and 1 or 2 HD), and the power supply. This EVGA power supply is longer than you will find in a normal desktop computer. For sure, a case that is easy to work with...

The cpu:

Intel I7 a good price. if not a intel i5. I really think is boresome to change the cpu once it is installed.
I will try to add an SSD, but I'm not sure if I will be able to afford this.

The video card and Power supply that I have, are not technicly mine, but I can use them. It is possible that when I finish what I'm doing, the person may want to buy the computer for the money I purchased. But just in case, if they don't, I want to have good system, to be able to add video and powersupply later.

I already have a
1) Power Supply: EVGA 1000 G2 SuperNova powersupply
1) Video Card: EVGA Pci express 3 GTX 680 4gb ram GDDR5 memory
1) Hard Drive :WD Green 2 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, SATA III, 64 MB Cache - WD20EZRX

I need to get
1) Case: mid-tower with enough size for evga power supply and 2 video cards

2) Memory: at least 16gb of ram, but 32GB will not be bad.

3) motherboard: hopefully that can support 2 video cards.

4) CPU: a good cpu.. intel i7 if possible but if not i5.

Solution
For the CPU and motherboard I would suggest the Intel i7 4770K with an Asus Z87-A LGA 1150 board.

Interestingly, a gaming rig differs a bit from what you want because the higher end Intel chips start adding more cores/threads as opposed to emphasizing clock speed. Most games do not benefit from these extra cores/threads as much as they could, and therefore the higher chips don't offer a great gaming performance increase for the price, but graphic development is exactly where they shine.
