Solution
if your gonna already buy/have a gpu then skip the amd a6-a8-a10

get this cpu as its the same thing as the a10-5800k but without the intergrated graphics and much faster than the a6.

this gtx650 is only like £5 more and is definitely faster than the gt640. i can understand why that gt640 has 4gb vram, thats very unnecessary.

the amd 7790 is also faster than the gtx650 and is only £8 more...

get the a10-5800k cpu if you can as its built in intergrated graphics are about 50% better than the a6-3650. the cpu is also about 40% faster.

its £85.48 but worth the extra dough.
it is the bare minimum i would recommend for any type of gaming

but amd kavari will be announced for sale very soon and the a10 trinity apus are going to drop in price and or the new kavari models will be at the same price point. they will also be at least a little faster and possibly much faster.

you will need to reinstall windows on the new machine. if its windows 7 you may be locked onto the motherboard of the old computer so you will need to get ahold of microsoft and tell them your upgrading to a new machine or you had a motherboard failure in the old machine and got a new motherboard... whatever.

but you need to fresh install windows for the new machine as it wont have the right drivers and stuff to work with the new build, actually the old drivers will totally conflict with the new hardware. so find/barrow a portable hard drive and back up all the photos, music, videos, documents, etc. and save game data before you do this.

plus both the gtx650 and hd7790 have gddr5 vram which is much better than the gddr3 vram the gt640 has.
