I really don't know the issue. He has a good CPU, 8GB of RAM, plenty of storage. What could it be?

"Close programs to prevent information loss."

"Your computer is low on memory. Save your files and close programs."

"Windows will only close enough programs to restore needed memory."

This doesn't make any sense at all. He has plenty of memory.

Is he running a 32-bit version of Windows? Is he low on hard drive space (C:) ?

He has 64-bit and has plenty of hard drive space.

Has he re-booted his PC recently? Some people with laptops go weeks without re-booting, they just sleep their laptops, and Windows will eventually lose track of memory over long periods of time (memory leaks).

He does. There is no reason it should be popping up. Nobody seems to know what the problem is.

Did you ever get this fixed. My Pc is doing the same thing. I have 8 GB or ram a 1TB hard drive. Has been happening for almost a month rebooting does not solve the issue.

Is your windows recognizing you have 8GB installed?

I have the same problem in BF4 or Arma 3, windows tells me I don't have enough ram when I have 8gb. Nothing else has ever acted up on me though, and to be fair I wrote them and a dev wrote me back saying in their recent patch he believed they created a memory leak...

BF4 is a buggy mess, and I respect the actual ARMA 3 dev. member writing me back and owning up to their mistake.

I'm looking to get 16gb ram total. Partly so windows can't tell me anything, and partly because I'm very lazy about having lots of browser tabs open :p
