My cpu usage is really high lately. I can't have anything more than Skype open before my cpu hits 10% minimum. Then if I were to open Chrome and open Pandora, it launches another 10-15% on a good day. I can't play more than a few games on BF4 before my cpu hits 90%+ My Minecraft with no texture packs or shaders, and Skype run about 65% on average. I want to believe the cause of this is from high cpu temps from too much thermal paste. I had help building my desktop from a neighbor who built his, but I wasn't the one to put the cpu and fan on. Any suggestions?
(Also I was wondering if it would be fine to put my stock fan back on for more room in my case for a cooling fan. I figured it wouldn't do any less than my new fan because I haven't overclocked yet, and don't plan to for a while if ever.) Thanks.
