I have 2 asus direct cu11 oc 2gb 770's, they do not perform as well as they should in sli, in a dirt 3 benchmark I got less frames with two cards, than one, also in the metro 2033 benchmark, I only got 10 fps more.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Dirt 3 on the GTX680 2xSLI (same as 770 really) only got a 20% boost over single GPU (120FPS vs 100FPS).

Metro 2033 should get a HUGE boost in SLI (66FPS vs 39FPS):

CPU bottleneck?
No. No. No. (well Yes slightly, but NOT this much):

Your FX-8320 isn't quite as good as the FX-8350 but let's look at the results of the LAST chart:
2xGTX680 - 78.3FPS
1xGTX680 - 42FPS

So Metro 2033 should get a lot better performance boost.

*So the problem is NOT primarily a CPU...

That's the problem with multi-GPU configurations. Performance doesn't always scale as expected. What settings are you using on the benchmarks?

Also, what are the rest of your computer's specs?

*EDIT* I just can't seem to type fast enough today.

On Metro 2033 at 1080p quality set to high with msaa 4x and af16x I got an average of 81Fps a max framerate of 263 and a minimum FPS of 6.69.
On Dirt 3
1080p
limited to 60FPS
8 x qcsaa,
vsync off
aspect ratio auto,
full screened,
night lighting high
shadows ultra
particles high
mirrors ultra
characters ultra
ground cover high
Distant vehicles high
objects ultra
trees ultra
vehicle reflections ultra
water high
post process high
skidmarks on
ambient occlusion ultra
cloth high

And I got an average of 72 FPS and a minimum of 43.

The ram is 16GB.

And I am sorry, however I never reached 60 fps, and that is the problem.

*So the problem is NOT primarily a CPU bottleneck though performance would be even better with a different CPU, and we've established that Metro 2033 should do better. Therefore this is probably a software issue though I'm not quite sure what.

If you can't find the answer, then try reinstalling the video drivers. If that is unsuccessful you may need to reinstall Windows.

i just put that the cards in sli, you MUST have a fan on them even if like me you bought tem for the cooling. They expel the hot air into the chasis and get VERY hot quickly in tight sli( unless you got an extended sli bridge. Preferably the fan shoots from the front of both of them and out the back of the chassis. They were a small headache to get running and stable but beautiful and cool once minimal proper fanning ensures it rids the case of that hot air.
