Asus P7P55D-e-pro does not recognize all memory.

The problem is that my pc with asus motherboard p7p55d-e-pro with i7 860 mem ddr3 kingston 2gb x 4 modules 1333, does not recognize all memory, no matter how much you install only recognizes half, I tried to change processor and remains the same with msconfig and as usual, the memory has been tested on another plate and right.

another test done: if amount memory only ranurat A1 does not start, mounted on slot B1 start and recognizes 2gb, if amount in the two slots or 4 slots only recognizes half dela memory, it may be that this slot A1 bad memory and still recognize the memory but do not use? B1 and default either?

Do not know what else to try, appreciate any help,

Hi, It looks like a CPU socket bent pins issue. When changing the processor, have you checked the socket?

I understand that failure to boot the pc with a memory will be bad eslot A1 plate, which is strange to me that if the amount recognized when the memory in A1 and B1 but only use half the amount of memory and if all 4 slots only recognizes the A2 and B2.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS?
When inserting single RAM module and testing each slot, what happens (ex: A1 not recognized, A2- half amount, B1 - OK, B2 - OK)?

if, delete bios I've even updated again to the latest version and if as you say does not recognize A1,

A1 and B1 Media amount and like riding the 4 slots.

the order of the slots in plate is A2-A1-B2-B1

I mean if inserting single RAM module in the A1 slot, are there issues? Same for inserting single RAM module in A2, B1, B2 any issues?

I've got that Exact same ASUS motherboard in one of my systems. When I use 2 sticks of RAM, everything is fine. When I use 4 sticks frequently I boot and system Only see's 2 sticks....

FIX (for me) : was to go in to BIOS and manually increase the RAM voltage (I believe limit is 1.65volts)

sorry, if you mean physically assemble, fit perfectly.
The problem is that in slot A1 will not start, any other combination using this eslot starts but only half recognized.

With b1 and b2 memory starts and recognizes good memory

El problema es que en la ranura A1 no arranca, cualquier otra combinacion usando este eslot arranca pero reconoce solo la mitad.

Con la memoria en b2 y b1 arranca y reconoce bien la memoria

I understand now.
Here's what I suggest: taking the board out of the case, put it on a non-conductive materiel, removing the CPU and taking a high resolution photo of its socket (please post the picture, if possible). If no bent pins, then install the stock CPU fan and test if the system does start (board still out of the case) when single RAM module is installed in the A1 slot.

Hello I think I found the problem, for some strange reason you do not know the cpu heatsink to damaged track circuit.

Yes, it seems that's the issue. No other component would be damaged. You can continue using the board and 4GB.
You can try also fixing those traces, with the right tools. Or ask a professional.
I wonder how did it happen.

You're welcome.
I would leave only the modules in A2 and B2 and BIOS to default.
You can also buy a 2x4GB kit and have 8 GB in A2 and B2.

I have no idea how it was possible to understand that the damage mounted sink?

solo comentar que ya esta solucionado, por si algun otro usuario pueda tener el mismo problema, he conseguido reparar pistas dañadas y ya reconoce las 8gb.

No tengo idea de como se ha podido dañar entiendo que al montar disipador ¿?
