Is this GPU usage normal at idle?

my pc specs ,

i3 3220
asus p8b75m-lx
8gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz
seasonic m12ii 500w
sapphire hd 7870 xt 2gb
wd caviar blue 500gb
windows 7 64 bit home premium

my gpu usage at both idle and when surfing google chrome maximum is 4 but it depends because it keeps going up and down repeatedly from 0 to 4 .And also, i have windows aero turned on My gpu temp seems to be alright staying at 40 degrees celcius all the time. Is my gpu fine?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Yeah mine does the same thing. I don't see a problem

Its not zero because a lot of programs can take advantage of GPU acceleration now. That includes windows aero and browsers like chrome and firefox
and its not real high because it isn't particularly intensive.
