I custom build my desktop PC about six months ago with following specs:-

-CPU: core i5-3470

-GPU: HD-7870

-PSU: Corsair VS-650

-MotherBoard: GA-h77-DS-3H

-Average Size Tower Casing

My system is fine except for the PSU, which is causing white/Greyish colored, horizontal flickering lines to appear in the background while playing almost every game. It becomes more visible especially at night or if there is Rainy weather scenario in the game.

I tested my system with Cooler-Master GX2-550 PSU and the flicker was immediately gone, so it was my PSU which caused the problem. My PSU cant be returned/replaced.

I don't want to overclock nor CrossFire. I just need the flicker to go away.:-I have the following PSU options, price is almost same at the shop.

-Corsair GS600

-CoolerMaster GX2-650W or 550W (i ve heard the cables are a bit short )

Are the above PSU's reliable and good enough for my system? Which one would you recommend from the above? thanks in advance.

Could you instead be having some kind of cabling problem? I just don't see the logical reason why a power supply could affect graphics, since the graphics card is connected to your motherboard.

Hi - It's a shame you can't RMA the Corsair. The VS series is probably their weakest.

I agree with Blackbird, of the 2 you list I'd go with the GS600.

I tried changing the monitor cable, the converter, the monitor, and the Graphics card(also with Tested HD-7850) but the flicker remained
I plugged in a HD 4670 low Power Card and the Flicker was gone. Seems like my Corsair VS-650 cant handle the more Powerful GPU's underload.
