Wiped Computer need to install Windows

Please Help: I installed Niresh (then uninstalled it by wiping hard drive completely) - Now I want to reinstall windows, the only thing I can access is Bios, and when I put my Install disk, it does not load it simply goes to a black loading screen with the little white dash blinking.

I have a windows CD in the tray, but nothing wants to load! Please help...

Yup, I assume you have already formatted the drive? Run Darik's Boot and Nuke (DBAN), for good measure, then run the Windows installation, select custom, select your hard drive and hit format, then continue on with the installation.

WARNING: Running DBAN will ERASE ALL DATA on hard drive.
Note: Running DBAN quick erase should be plenty.

Go to the bios, use the arrow keys to navigate to the boot tab, and change the boot priority of the optical disk drive to somewhere above the hard drive with the + and - keys.

It was retail upgrade disk, but I am downloading Windows 7 now so I can burn it on to a disk and try again.

Now I have deeper problems, I dropped my external HD and now I lost all my data on it... argh what a good night

Hi group, tried installing but I got <<windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. Windows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS>>

anyway I can fix this? (remember, the only thing I have access too is F2!)

How do I run DBAN? Do I put it on a USB stick?
