Which Mother Board is Better

I'm going to use the following CPU:

Which of the following motherboards is better and why. I'm still new to motherboards. Or is there a better one. Nothing over $200, preferably below $150.

  1. none of them , they are different sockets
for Haswell 1150 socket , try Asus H87 Plus or Asus Z87-A
  2. The Asus is better. The Asrock won't fit the CPU.

    Neither.

You are going with an 1150 socket Hazwell processor. You need a Hazwell 1150 socket motherboard. The ones you posted are both 1155 Sandy/ Ivy bridge.

If your question is which brand is better, Asus or ASRock; its a toss-up. Both are very good brands with excellent reputations. Most overclockers go with ASRock. I use ASRock... a lot. I'd get this:

    Thanks for you time.

The Processor has a 1150 connection.
The two motherboards are Z77 with a 1155 connection.

You need a Z87 motherboard to use with that processor not a Z77.
  5. My bad. I thought I read 1150 on the Asus.
