Hi to all kind enough to read this and maybe help me out.

My PC has this really weird problem when I switch it on. I have sent for repairs and Motherboard has been replaced with brand new ones twice in attempt to fix it (according to the repair guys) along with a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate.

So the problem is this, when I press the power on button, the pc sort of attempts to start, but then power is shut off after half a second. It then tries to power on again by itself and this repeats itself 3 to 5 times until it stops. Sometimes (around 1 out of 10 times) it manages to power on probably, and it would force me to adjust BIOS settings. I am sometimes able to force a boot into windows from BIOS, and it seems to be the most reliable way of getting to windows at the moment.

My specs are as below:

ASUS B85m-e MOBO
Intel i5-4570 CPU
Coolermaster K350 Case
ASUS GTX 660 2G OC CU edition
Cooler Master GX2 650W PSU

Thanks for your time.

I seem to have located the problem. Reading another post, the suggestion was to try start up with only Motherboard, 1 RAM, CPU and on board graphics connected. Doing this lead to no problems with powering on and simple boot into BIOS. I then found that the problem was with a poor connection of the GPU. Physical reinstall of the GPU had the system running at normal.

The problem has come back again. Almost 99% sure that the problem is related to the GPU.

Is anyone aware of problems with compatibility between Coolermaster GX2 650w and ASUS GTX 660 2gb OC directCU edition? It appears that the PSU is failing to provide enough power when it starts to the graphics cards in addition to the MOBO, CPU and other components.

Any insight would be much appreciated.
