Alright, so just yesterday I upgraded my mobo, cpu, psu and gpu to the following:

MSI B85M-G43
Intel i5 4670k
Zotac Geforce GTX 760
EVGA 600B

I didn't touch the optical drive or hard drive, I just moved my ram into the new motherboard, no problems there. I'm quite positive that everything is connected and in the right place; it turns on and all the fans and parts that should be moving are moving. My problem is that after it loads the MSI screen that would take me to my BIOS, it gives me the black screen with grey text, and when I click start normally, it just fails and gives me the black screen with grey text again. So I hit Launch Startup Repair or whatever it's called, and it says Windows Was Unable To Start. It says the problem cannot be repaired autmatically.

This is what the diagnosis shows:

Problem Signature:
Problem Event Name: StartupRepairOffline
Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
Problem Signature 03: unknown
Problem Signature 04: 21199616
Problem Signature 05: AutoFailover
Problem Signature 06: 10
Problem Signature 07: NoRootCause
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

Is it a hard drive or OS problem? I don't have the disk or activation key thing for my Windows 7 anymore, if it will fix the problem I'll gladly go buy a new OS, just let me know. Same for if it's a hard drive issue.

Thanks in advance.

When you upgrade your CPU and motherboard you usually have to install the OS again.

In that case you would need to perform a clean install of whichever OS you are intending to use.

So how would I go about that? I think I'll just go get a brand new OS and install that, what do I have to do to wipe the OS that's on there now? Or can I do a clean install without a disk? Thanks by the way.
