Review my part list?

Alright so I am pretty confident in my parts but suggestions would be appreciated. I'm 16 and building for the first time, and my mom being a concerned parent insists I have my list reviewed by people with more experience than I (Which I don't blame it's a smart move!) Anyway before I get started I know there are a lot of Intel fanboys, however I am not going with Intel for the processor and that is absolutely final. The goal was an under $1000 rig with a 1080p monitor. I'll also include the max amount I am willing to pay for a certain part if you want to make any suggestions.
Underlined text is changes I've made due to your suggestions already
CPU: FX-8320 8-Core ($170 budget)
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo ($50 budget)
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX Pro ($135 budget)
Memory: Kingston Blu 8gb (2x4gb) ($80 budget)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ($65 budget)
GPU: EVGA GTX 760 4GB ($299 budget)
Wifi Adapter: M'eh who cares it's a PCI Asus one
Case: Corsair 200r ($ <80 budget)
PSU: Rosewill Hive 750w Semi-Modular (750w to run 2x 270x eventually) ($90 budget)
LG Optical Drive DVD/CD writer

Monitor: Asus VS228-H 21" 1080x1920 (Budget $150)

Extra Information: I want to be able to run modern games at ultra settings with a smooth fps, however I want to have an all around good computer as well. You will have a very hard time convincing me to get a different processor, but everything else you can make some recommendations. Also maybe mentioning some experience you have might be nice.

A bit similar to my build, I'm currently running (just so you have an idea of my experience):
OC FX-8320
CM Hyper 212 Evo
Asus M5A97 R2.0
PNY 1866mhz 2x4gb
Samsung Pro 120gb SSD
(using recycled HDD atm but eventually 1TB HDD)
Sapphire HD 7950 Boost
Random usb wifi card from the store
NZXT Source 210 Elite
Corsair CX 600W

Monitor: Asus VS247H-P 1080p 23.6"

You could probably get the 247/248H-P ~$140 from Amazon Warehouse deals pending the fluctuating prices.
I got mine for $135.
Also, I wish I opted for the M5A99X so you're fine on that part; haven't heard anything about your heatsink though.
The 8320 can be easily overclocked and the thing works like a charm.

Edit: Current warehouse deal on the VS247H-P is $140 (has minor scratches) or $145 in original packaging via

Thanks for the input. So should I go for Hyper 212 Evo instead for my heatsink?
Also I'd prefer to not get the monitor used, but I'm not going to worry about it right now because I'm getting it last anyway and 1920x1080 monitors are easy to come by anyway. Oh and what is the difference between the 247 and 228 anyway?

It's up to you, I know maybe half of the people here use/recommend the Hyper 212 Evo on builds.
Just make sure it can fit in your case because it's quite a large heatsink; I had to slightly bend my panel to close it (I was uncomfortable with the heatsink touching the panel).
That is true, but the Asus monitor comes with an HDMI port for a low cost :)

247H-P has a larger screen than the VS228H-P (~2 inches). Plus instead of 5ms response on the 228, it has 2ms response time. That difference is only $10 more (comparing 228 New prices and 247 Warehouse prices via Amazon).

I like the build but for the price get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130949 its just better unless you want all amd also if you can you really need to sneak an ssd in there try something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820721106 just really needs to be big enough for the os and maybe a game or two this will give you blazing fast program speed as well as give you the ability to keep everything saved to your hdd and be able to wipe the ssd in a moments notice should the need arrive.

Double the size for $12 more (;

I will highly consider that GPU! Even if it's at the top price in my budget I just might buy it.
Oh and I'm not really looking for an SSD. I honestly don't care if Windows boots up in 30 seconds compared to 60, i'd rather spend my money saving for that GPU and a monitor at the moment.

Also going to add in my 10 cents:
BF4 on a HDD: (2 minutes later) Please kill me
BF4 on a SSD: (about 10 seconds) Did it even load

I'll put the Heatsink on there, but I prefer my motherboard because of the x2 PS-2 slots, and I think that I'm just going to save for that GTX 760. For the case I think I'll stay with the 200r because of the USB 3.0s and the more minimalistic look. BUT SERIOUSLY GUYS I DON'T NEED AN SSD RIGHT NOW. It will be something I can buy LATER right now I'm concerned on getting a full working computer.Yes I know SSDs are great but for me right now it is unnecessary

You're very fortunate, I live in Hawaii so the only choice I had was Amazon and their free prime shipping :s

Don't get an SSD then. If you're gonna OC as soon as you build the PC then it's better ordering the aftermarket heatsink. Why would you need a PS2 slot? I suggested the case as I personally hate minimalist designs.

You could get a ssd and a gtx 760 in if you don't mind to cut a little elsewhere,

I meant for instance the motherboard and psu. Some don't like the corsair cx series,i don't have a problem choosing it.
Case, wifi adapter or monitor should really be picked by you anyway,i put some in that i like.

Just to give you an idea of what is possible.

Like I said, SSD will be for later. I need to invest in a monitor, keyboard that isn't awful, and a proper mouse first before I worry about SSDs
