Hello,

I came across an issue and I cannot understand what could be the problem.

I recently change my internet connection and received 3 fixed IP's. All of them are working, I've tested on my PC and laptop and I can connect to the internet after I fill the network adaptor settings with the IP, GW, DNS provided from the internet company.

The problem is when Ii configure the tp-link router with the same IP's, I cannot receive an internet connection.

Would be much more apreciated if anybody can give me a hand in this.

Kind regards,
Gabriel

Since you have three IPs from your ISP, I would put a four or five port gigabit switch on the line from the modem. You have three IP addresses and your router will only use one. Then take one of the connections from the switch to the TP-Link WAN port. If it won't setup properly then, just clone the MAC address of one of the computers onto the router, a very simple procedure that is outlined in your manual.

Hi,

Thank you for the help. I figured out the problem, it was a mistake with the GW, the ISP gave me the gw xxx.xxx.xxx.16 and I tried by luck with xxx.xxx.xxx.17 and the router start working. What is still odd that before the PC and laptop could connect with the gw xxx.xxx.xxx.16, the router not. I was inspire to try the .17 IP :)

Thank you again,
Gabriel
