I am currently in the market for a headset that I will primarily use for gaming, however it would also be good if it provided decent sound when listening to music and movies as well. Cross platform with a ps3/ps4 is not necessary but would be a plus. I would also prefer wireless just for convenience as I am in a tight space and wires are already becoming an issue, however if the sound quality is much better than I will happily go wired. Also I have my pc on my desk next to me which can get reasonably loud so I guess a noise cancelling mic is welcome. Finally, I don't have any sound card and I suspect my motherboard audio is a bit dodgy, so if the headset came with a usb dac than that would be awesome. I would prefer to keep the price under $300Au max, however anything under 250 is preferred.
So far I have been looking at the corsair vengeance 2100 and the sound blaster omega wireless.
