Static Zap from powered down PC case

Don't take me as being compulsive, but I have a concerning question. Yesterday, my computer was turned off and unplugged from its wall outlet, and I went to move it and upon touching the case (metal), I received a static zap. It powered on alright, and when plugged in to the three slot wall outlet, no static zaps occurred upon touching it. Could the static zap from metal case before plugging it in have caused any internal damage?

Solution
No nothing is damaged within your case if everything is working fine. If something was effected it would not be working, and most parts have stands offs from your case anyway. You should always make sure that you cannot give off a static charge, when dealing with internal parts, in this situation I'd say you're perfectly fine and you have nothing to worry about.
