How to add drivers during install

Hi, my scsi drives don't show up during the install of Windows/NT or Windows 7. In Windows 7 when it asks for a disk I try putting in the manufacturers driver disc which is in the form of an .exe file and Windows rejects it. What kind of files should I be looking for? i.e. what extension should they have?

An 'exe' file is a compressed package and is no good to Windows during the setup phase as it can't decompress the 'exe' file to get at the files inside it.

You have to extract the files from the exe package on another computer first, then put those files on pen drive, floppy or CD. Windows Setup will then be able to access the files it needs.
