HDMI to DVI or DVI to DVI for better display

I have a monitor which has dvi-d port.
I have a GTX 650 graphics card which has dvi-d and hdmi port.

Which one should be better and if I buy "hdmi to dvi", can I use them properly with no display problem. (I mean does any one have a problem with this connection before?)

By the way I know hdmi and dvi are equal. I learnt that in the forum but I couldn't find any opinion about these two.

ya, DVI to DVI cable is simpler (and most monitors include a cable for that).

I use DVI to HDMI cables (your first link) but only when I run out of the DVI ports on my graphics card, and have to use an HDMI out to connect to my DVI monitor.

Hello... the Video signals are Digial in both, But the HDMI can carry 7.1 audio on it too... a passive HDMI/DVI adaptor will work fine... But be careful on your DVI cable, Monitor and adaptor, because there is also a DVI-I connector, The Ground tab/pin is wider on the DVI-I connection, and will not Fit into a DVI-D connector... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface
The Nividia card will accept Both DVI-I and DVI-D cables... See if your Monitor will too? because you could use just one DVI-I and/or DVI-D Low cost single cable connection.

I want to make a choice between these;

and

And I conclude from your answer that "hdmi to dvi" is better. Am I right?
